Many people hold to beliefs and there are doctrines which preach along the lines, saying: “Once saved always saved”. “What then? [SHALL WE SIN, BECAUSE WE ARE] not under the law, but [UNDER GRACE]? God forbid” (Romans 6:15).
Our Lord Jesus Christ warns, says: “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and [LOOKING BACK], is fit for the Kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62). “But he that shall [ENDURE UNTO THE END, THE SAME SHALL BE SAVED]” (Matthew 24:13).
“Remember Lot’s wife” (Luke 17:32)?
Lot, his wife and two daughters were elected to be SAVED from the
destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner,
giving themselves over to fornication, and going after [STRANGE FLESH], are set
forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of [ETERNAL FIRE]” (Jude 1:7).
The angels of God told Lot, his wife and two daughters, saying: “Escape
for thy life; [LOOK NOT BEHIND THEE], neither stay thou in all the plain;
escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed” (Genesis 19:17).
However, Lot’s wife loved life so much in SINFUL Sodom and Gomorrah that
she had to have one last look, but it was not to be, because she turned into a
pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26).
Lot’s wife looked BACK and DID NOT ENDURE TO THE END, and lost her life
because she wife did not believe the word of God as spoken by the angels of
God.
When Jesus says: “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and [LOOKING
BACK, IS FIT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD]” (Luke 9:62); means that once we come to
the knowledge of the Truth by the word of God, WE MUST NOT TO LOOK BACK to the
lusts, pleasures, and pride of life, in other words, the pollutions of this
world.
Peter, a disciple of Jesus warned, saying: “For if after they have
escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter
end is worse with them than the beginning” (2 Peter 2:20).
The Apostle
Paul said: ”[FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH]; and that not of yourselves:
it is the [GIFT OF GOD]: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians
2:8-9).
“What then? [SHALL WE SIN, BECAUSE WE ARE] not under the law, but [UNDER
GRACE]? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to
obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of
obedience unto righteousness?
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have
your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. [FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS
DEATH; BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST] our Lord”
(Romans 6:15-16, 20, 22-23).
“[KEEP
YOURSELVES IN THE LOVE OF GOD], looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ
unto [ETERNAL LIFE]” (Jude 1:21).
“For ye are all the children of God by [FAITH IN CHRIST
JESUS]” (Galatians 3:24).
“The grace
of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy
Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14).
