God’s Elect must keep in remembrance on this PALM Sunday that it is written: “The [RIGHTEOUS] shall flourish like the [PALM TREE]” (Psalm 92:12). “In the way of [RIGHTEOUSNESS IS LIFE]; and in the pathway thereof there is no death” (Proverbs 12:28).
We must therefore, always keep in remembrance on this day, how over two thousand years ago, our Lord Jesus, THE RIGHTEOUS came into JERUSALEM riding on a donkey prior to his crucifixion when he died for the sins of the world (John 1:29) (1 John 2:2).
“AND when they drew nigh unto [JERUSALEM], and
were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two
disciples,
Saying unto them, ‘Go into the village over
against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her:
loose them, and bring them unto me.
And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall
say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
All this was done, that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
[TELL YE THE DAUGHTER OF SION, BEHOLD, THY
KING COMETH UNTO THEE], meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of
an ass.’
And the disciples went, and did as Jesus
commanded them,
And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on
them their clothes, and they set him thereon” (Matthew 21:1-7).
“On the next day much people that were come to
the feast, when they heard that [JESUS WAS COMING TO JERUSALEM],
Took branches of [PALM TREES], and went forth
to meet him, and cried, [HOSANNA: BLESSED IS THE KING OF ISRAEL] that cometh in
the name of the Lord” (John 12:12-13).
“And a very great multitude spread their
garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them
in the way.
And the multitudes that went before, and that
followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh
in the name of the Lord; [HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST].
And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the
city was moved, saying, Who is this?
And the multitude said, ‘[THIS IS JESUS THE
PROPHET OF NAZARETH OF GALILEE]’” (Matthew 21:8-11).
GOD sent JESUS to be the propitiation for the
sins of the world (John 3:16-18).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
“For since by man came death, by man came also
the resurrection of the dead. [FOR AS IN ADAM ALL DIE, EVEN SO IN CHRIST SHALL
ALL BE MADE ALIVE]” (1 Corinthians 15:21–22).
“For it is written, ‘I will destroy the wisdom
of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.’ [FOR
THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS] is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us
which are saved it [IS THE POWER OF GOD]. For after that in the wisdom of God
the world by wisdom knew not God, [IT PLEASED GOD BY THE FOOLISHNESS OF
PREACHING TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE]” (1 Corinthians 1:18–19, 21).
“[HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED]:
but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in
the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).
Now then, as THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE THINGS
THAT ARE ETERNAL IS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST who died for us; for this purpose then
WE SHOULD LIVE UNTO HIM AND NOT UNTO OURSELVES (2 Corinthians 5:15).
“[JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY,
AND FOREVER]” (Hebrews 13:8).
“Unto him be glory in the church by Christ
Jesus throughout all ages, [WORLD WITHOUT END]. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21).
