BEWARE of Prosperity Preaching? For this reason, the Holy Scriptures warned: “Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil” (Ecclesiastes 5:1).
Our Lord Jesus says: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15).
“Ye shall
know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[WHEREFORE BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM]” (Matthew 7:16, 20).
“[NO SERVANT
CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS]: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or
else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. [YE CANNOT SERVE GOD AND
MAMMON]” (Luke 16:13).
John, the
disciple of Jesus said: “BELOVED, [BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT, BUT TRY THE
SPIRITS WHETHER THEY ARE OF GOD]: because many false prophets are gone out into
the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: [EVERY SPIRIT THAT CONFESSETH THAT
JESUS CHRIST IS COME IN THE FLESH IS OF GOD]: And [EVERY SPIRIT THAT CONFESSETH
NOT THAT JESUS CHRIST IS COME IN THE FLESH IS NOT OF GOD: AND THIS IS THAT
SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST], whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now
already is it in the world” (1 John 4:1-3).
“For many
deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come
in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist” (2 John 1:7).
The Apostle
Paul said: “NOW the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and [DOCTRINES OF
DEVILS]. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2).
“[FOR SUCH
ARE FALSE APOSTLES, DECEITFUL WORKERS, TRANSFORMING THEMSELVES INTO THE
APOSTLES OF CHRIST]. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be
transformed as the ministers of righteousness; [WHOSE END SHALL BE ACCORDING TO
THEIR WORKS]” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
“Grace be
with all them that [LOVE] our Lord Jesus Christ in [SINCERITY]. Amen”
(Ephesians 6:23-24).
