When we are faced with adversity or some sort of trouble, we must be reminded to pray and wait on the LORD, and also recall these words of our Lord Jesus, saying: “…that men ought always to [PRAY, AND NOT TO FAINT]” (Luke 18:1).
“[IF THOU FAINT] in the day of adversity, [THY STRENGTH IS SMALL]” (Proverbs 24:10).
Do you know that the LORD God made all things for himself (Isaiah
45:7) (Proverbs 16:4)? We must remind ourselves of this fact when we are faced
with adversity knowing by the word of God:
“The LORD hath [MADE ALL THINGS FOR HIMSELF: YEA, EVEN THE
WICKED FOR THE DAY OF EVIL]” (Proverbs 16:4).
“Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed
it, to establish it; the LORD is his name” (Jeremiah 33:2). “I form the light,
and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these
things” (Isaiah 45:7).
“The LORD is far from the wicked: but [HE HEARETH THE PRAYER
OF THE RIGHTEOUS]” (Proverbs 15:29).
“The LORD [TRIETH THE RIGHTEOUS]: but [THE WICKED AND HIM
THAT LOVETH VIOLENCE HIS SOUL HATETH]” (Psalm 11:5).
“Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the
LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. Though hand join in
hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but [THE SEED OF THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL
BE DELIVERED]” (Proverbs 14:5; 11:21).
“Many are the [AFFLICTIONS OF THE RIGHTEOUS]: but the LORD
[DELIVERETH HIM OUT OF THEM ALL]” (Psalm 34:19).
“The LORD hear thee in the [DAY OF TROUBLE]; the name of the
God of Jacob defend thee” (Psalms 20:1).
“The LORD is [GOOD, A STRONG HOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE]; and
[HE KNOWETH THEM THAT TRUST IN HIM]” (Nahum 1:7).
“[TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES]; ye people, [POUR OUT YOUR HEART
BEFORE HIM]: God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62:8).
“[WAIT] on the LORD: [BE OF GOOD COURAGE, AND HE SHALL
STRENGTHEN THINE HEART]: wait, I say, on the LORD” (Psalms 27:14).
“[BUT THEY THAT WAIT] upon the LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
“Finally, my brethren, [BE STRONG IN THE LORD, AND IN THE
POWER OF HIS MIGHT]” (Ephesians 6:10).
“Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to
everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm
106:48).
