JESUS’ COMING will be SUDDEN with SHOCK and SURPRISE! Jesus says: “Behold, I [COME AS A THIEF]. Blessed is he that [WATCHETH], and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” (Revelation 16:15).
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36).
“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time
is. [WATCH] ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh,
at even, or at [MIDNIGHT], or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest
coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all,
[WATCH]” (Mark 13:33, 35-37).
“The day of the Lord will come as [A THIEF IN THE NIGHT]; in
which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall
melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be
burned up” (2 Peter 3:10).
“But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should
overtake you as [A THIEF]. Ye are all the children of light” (1 Thessalonians
5:4–5).
“[THEREFORE LET US NOT SLEEP], as do others; but let us
[WATCH AND BE SOBER]. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be
drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober,
putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of
salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but [TO OBTAIN SALVATION] by
our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:6-9).
“[FOR THE LORD HIMSELF SHALL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN] with a
shout, with the [VOICE OF THE ARCHANGEL, AND WITH THE TRUMP OF GOD]: and [THE
DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST], [THEN WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE
CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS], to meet the Lord in the air: [AND
SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD]” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).
“THEN COMETH THE END, when he shall have [DELIVERED UP THE
KINGDOM TO GOD, EVEN THE FATHER]; when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power” (1 Corinthians 15:24).
“Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout
all ages, [WORLD WITHOUT END]. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21).
“Wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1
Thessalonians 4:16–18).
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen”
(Philippians 4:23).
