P R A Y E R: “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
“IT is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises
unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning,
and thy faithfulness every night” (Psalm 92:1-2).
“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:3-5, 12).
“The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous” (Proverbs 15:29).
Today, a few words of comfort to those who are unemployed, in financial distress, lonely, weary, sick, frightened about life circumstances or simply disillusioned about life: Let us be reminded what Paul, the apostle said: “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Many throughout time have doubted and said, in essence, “This is easier said than done.” However, Jesus emphasized, “And I say unto you, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Luke 11:9–10).
Be strong and pray to God in Jesus’ name. Also, be reminded what Jesus
also said: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth” (John 4:23–24); and keep the FAITH: “For ye are dead, and
your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3).
Let us be reminded what Paul, the apostle also said: “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
