SIN.
“O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD” (Jeremiah 22:29).
“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul
of the son is mine: [THE SOUL THAT SINNETH, IT SHALL DIE]” (Ezekiel 18:4).
“Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord
GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? For I have no
pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn
yourselves, and live ye” (Ezekiel 18:23, 32).
The Apostle Paul said: “Now the body is not for fornication, but for the
Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth
is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own
body” (1 Corinthians 6:13).
“Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife,
and let every woman have her own husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2). Paul, the
apostle also wrote about the unmarried, widows ans widowers, said: “If they
cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn” (1
Corinthians 7:8-9).
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy;
for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” (1 Corinthians 3:16–17).
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye [PRESENT
YOUR BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE], holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service” (Romans 12:1).
“And the very [GOD OF PEACE] sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your
whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
“[TAKE HEED, BRETHREN, LEST THERE BE IN ANY OF YOU AN EVIL HEART OF
UNBELIEF, IN DEPARTING FROM THE LIVING GOD]. But exhort one another [DAILY],
while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the [DECEITFULNESS
OF SIN]. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our
confidence stedfast [UNTO THE END]” (Hebrews 3:12-14).
“Now
the [GOD OF PEACE] be with you all. Amen” (Romans 15:33).
