To CELEBRATE or do NOT celebrate the CHRISTMAS SEASON?
There continues to be debate, dissension and disagreement about whether Jesus was born on December 25. Every human being has a right to their own beliefs; however, if the celebration of Christmas brings awareness to salvation and draws people to our Lord Jesus Christ, the “…Saviour of the world…” (1 John 4:11-15), so let it be done.
Human beings
must celebrate the birth of Jesus EVERY DAY for the very reason that God gave
as a FREE GIFT (Romans 5:18) to human beings his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON (John
3:16-18) JESUS, the CHRIST of God (Luke 9:20), the SALVATION of God (Luke
2:30-32): “That whosoever [BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD] not perish, but [HAVE
ETERNAL LIFE]” (John 3:15).
Therefore,
let us not get carried away with times, seasons or dates because the only TRUE
GIFT worthwhile obtaining in our lifetime is the GIFT OF LIGHT which is hidden
with JESUS CHRIST (Colossians 3:3) (1 Corinthians 15:45–46).
This
CHRISTMAS SEASON, if you have not already done, let JESUS be BORN in your
heart.
“Whosoever
is [BORN] of God doth not commit sin; [FOR HIS SEED REMAINETH IN HIM]: and he
cannot sin, because he is born of God” (1 John 3:9).
“Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) says: “If a
man [LOVES ME, HE WILL KEEP MY WORDS]: and my Father will love him, and we will
come unto him, and make our abode with him” (John 14:23).
“[HEREBY
KNOW WE THAT WE DWELL IN HIM, AND HE IN US, BECAUSE HE HATH GIVEN US OF HIS
SPIRIT]. [WHOSOEVER SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD, GOD DWELLETH IN
HIM, AND HE IN GOD]” (1 John 4:13, 15).
“But what
saith it? [THE WORD IS NIGH THEE, EVEN IN THY MOUTH, AND IN THY HEART]: that
is, the word of faith, which we preach; [THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY
MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND SHALT BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM
FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED]. For [WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO
RIGHTEOUSNESS]; and [WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION]” (Romans
10:8-10).
“And now,
little children, [ABIDE IN HIM]; that, when [HE SHALL APPEAR], we may have
[CONFIDENCE], and not be [ASHAMED BEFORE HIM AT HIS COMING]. If ye know that
[HE IS RIGHTEOUS], ye know that [EVERY ONE THAT DOETH RIGHTEOUSNESS IS BORN OF
HIM]” (1 John 2:28-29).
“Grace be
with all them that [LOVE] our Lord Jesus Christ in [SINCERITY]. Amen”
(Ephesians 6:23-24).
