We must PRAY TO GOD In the NAME OF JESUS and “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) to protect us and to supply our needs in these ever rapidly changing times.
Without a doubt as days go by in this world with news daily on the second wave of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 affecting all corners on this earth, untold numbers of people are most certainly concerned for their lives.
In times such as these we must be reminded what Paul,
the Apostle said: “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
“[TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES]; ye people, pour out your
heart before him: [GOD IS A REFUGE FOR US]” (Psalm 62:8).
“[GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH, A VERY PRESENT HELP
IN TROUBLE]. The LORD of hosts is [WITH US]; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Selah” (Psalm 46:1, 11).
“I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my
fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
[SURELY HE SHALL DELIVER THEE] from the snare of the
fowler, and [FROM THE NOISOME PESTILENCE].
[THOU SHALT NOT BE AFRAID] for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor [fOR THE PESTILENCE THAT WALKETH IN DARKNESS]; nor
for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
[THERE SHALL NO EVIL BEFALL THEE, NEITHER SHALL ANY
PLAGUE COME NIGH THY DWELLING]” (Psalm 91:2-3, 5-6, 10).
“[LET US THEREFORE COME BOLDLY UNTO THE THRONE OF
GRACE], that we may [OBTAIN MERCY], and [FIND GRACE TO HELP IN TIME OF NEED]”
(Hebrews 4:14-16).
Our Lord Jesus says: “Therefore take no thought,
saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be
clothed? But [SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; AND ALL
THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU]” (Matthew 6:31).
“[WHEN YE PRAY, USE NOT VAIN REPETITIONS, AS THE
HEATHEN DO[: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: [FOR YOUR FATHER KNOWETH WHAT THINGS YE
HAVE NEED OF, BEFORE YE ASK HIM]” (Matthew 6:7-8).
“[AFTER THIS MANNER THEREFORE PRAY YE]: Our Father
which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is
in heaven.
Give us [THIS DAY] our [DAILY BREAD].
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from
evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen”
(Matthew 6:9-13).
