“[GOD IS NOT A MAN, THAT HE SHOULD LIE; NEITHER THE SON OF MAN, THAT HE SHOULD REPENT]” (Numbers 23:19). “[IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE NOT SINNED], we make him a liar, and his word is not in us” (1 John 1:10).
“[THIS THEN IS THE MESSAGE WHICH WE HAVE HEARD OF HIM, AND DECLARE UNTO YOU, THAT GOD IS LIGHT, AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL]” (1 John 1:5).
We are in no position to justify ourselves before God:
“[FOR THERE IS NO MAN THAT SINNETH NOT]” (1 Kings 8:46). “For there is not a
just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not” (Ecclesiastes 7:20).
“[IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO
FORGIVE US OUR SINS, AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS]” (1 John 1:9).
“[FOR THIS SHALL EVERY ONE THAT IS GODLY PRAY UNTO
THEE IN A TIME WHEN THOU MAYEST BE FOUND]: surely in the floods of great waters
they shall not come nigh unto him” (Psalm 22:6).
“[I ACKNOWLEDGED MY SIN UNTO THEE, AND MINE INIQUITY
HAVE I NOT HID. I SAID, I WILL CONFESS MY TRANSGRESSIONS UNTO THE LORD; AND
THOU FORGAVEST THE INIQUITY OF MY SIN]. Selah” (Psalm 22:5).
“[FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH]; and that
not of yourselves: [IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD]: Not of works, lest any man should
boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
“[IN THIS WAS MANIFESTED THE LOVE OF GOD TOWARD US],
because that [GOD SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON INTO THE WORLD, THAT WE MIGHT LIVE
THROUGH HIM]” (1 John 4:8).
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he
loved us, [AND SENT HIS SON TO BE THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS]” (1 John
4:10).
“Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: [THEREFORE LOVE
IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW]” (Romans 13:10).
“[FOR CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH]” (Romans 10:4).
“[WHAT THEN? SHALL WE SIN, BECAUSE WE ARE NOT UNDER
THE LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE]? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield
yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of
sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free
from righteousness.
[BUT NOW BEING MADE FREE FROM SIN, AND BECOME SERVANTS
TO GOD, YE HAVE YOUR FRUIT UNTO HOLINESS, AND THE END EVERLASTING LIFE]. For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:15-16, 20, 22-23).
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of
God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians
13:14).
