We must do our utmost to keep in our hearts the best we can remember the word of God:
“[BEHOLD, THE DAYS COME], saith the Lord GOD, [THAT I WILL SEND A FAMINE IN THE LAND, NOT A FAMINE OF BREAD, NOR A THIRST FOR WATER, BUT OF HEARING] the words of the LORD. And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it” (Amos 8:11-12).
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my
path” (Psalm 119:105).
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not
unto thine own understanding. In all thy
ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and
desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).
“A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the
rottenness of the bones” (Proverbs 14:30).

the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).
“Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the
fear of the LORD all the day long” (Proverbs 23:17).
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7).
“When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge
is pleasant unto thy soul” (Proverbs 2:10)
“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven”
(Psalm 119:89).
JESUS says: “It is written, that man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4).
“Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep
it” (Luke 11:28).
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth
nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”
(John 6:63).

not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).
