Our Lord Jesus Christ reminds us to DAILY LIVE by the word of God and to DAILY TAKE UP HIS CROSS TO FOLLOW him to the world without end (Matthew 6:9-13) (Luke 4:4).
Jesus says: “[GOD IS A SPIRIT: AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH]; (John 4:24).
“[BUT THE HOUR COMETH, AND NOW IS, WHEN THE
TRUE WORSHIPPERS SHALL WORSHIP THE FATHER IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH]: for the
[FATHER] seeketh such to worship him” (John 4:23).
“[BLESSED ARE THEY THAT HEAR THE WORD] of God,
and keep it” (Luke 11:28).
“It is written, that man shall [NOT LIVE BY
BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY] word of God” (Luke 4:4).
“[IF ANY MAN WILL COME AFTER ME], [LET HIM
DENY HIMSELF], and [TAKE UP HIS CROSS DAILY], and [FOLLOW ME]” (Luke 9:23).
“And he that taketh not his cross, and
followeth after me, is not worthy of me” (Matthew 10:38).
“He that loveth his life shall lose it; and
[HE THAT HATETH HIS LIFE IN THIS WORLD SHALL KEEP IT UNTO LIFE ETERNAL]. If any
man [SERVE ME, LET HIM FOLLOW ME]; and [WHERE I AM, THERE SHALL ALSO MY SERVANT
BE]: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour” (John 12:25-26).
“When thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and
when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy
Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly” (Matthew 6:6).
“When ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as
the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much
speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what
things ye have need of, before ye ask him” (Matthew 6:7-8).
“And whatsoever ye shall [ASK IN MY NAME],
that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13).
“[AFTER THIS MANNER THEREFORE PRAY YE]: Our
Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven.
[GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD].
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
Amen” (Matthew 6:9-13).
