FAITH? “[NOW FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN]” (Hebrews 11:1).
“But [WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM]: for he that [COMETH TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS], and that [HE IS A REWARDER OF THEM THAT DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM]” (Hebrews 11:6).
“[NO MAN HATH SEEN GOD AT ANY TIME; THE ONLY BEGOTTEN
SON], which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).
“[FOR THERE IS ONE GOD, AND ONE MEDIATOR] between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus: who gave himself a ransom for all, to be
testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5–6).
“And this is the record, that God [HATH GIVEN TO US
ETERNAL LIFE, AND THIS LIFE] is in his Son” (1 John 11).
“[HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON HATH EVERLASTING LIFE]:
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God
abideth on him” (John 3:36).
James also asked, “[WHAT DOTH IT PROFIT], my brethren,
though a man say [HE HATH FAITH, AND HAVE NOT WORKS]? [CAN FAITH SAVE HIM]?”
(James 2:14).
“[EVEN SO FAITH, IF IT HATH NOT WORKS, IS DEAD, BEING
ALONE]” (James 2:17).
“Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when
he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with
his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled
which saith, ‘Abraham [BELIEVED] God, and [IT WAS IMPUTED UNTO HIM FOR
RIGHTEOUSNESS]: and he was called the Friend of God.’ Ye see then how that by
[WORKS A MAN IS JUSTIFIED], and not by faith only” (James 2:21–24).
JESUS asks: “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh,
shall he [FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH]?” (Luke 18:8).
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that [DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER]
which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
When Jesus was here on earth he was asked “What shall
we do, that we might work the works of God?” (John 6:28).
“Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘[THIS IS THE WORK
OF GOD], that ye [BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT]’” (John 6:29).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever [BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD not perish, but have
[EVERLASTING LIFE]. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him
is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he
hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).
“[JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY, AND
FOREVER]” (Hebrews 13:8). “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
throughout all ages, [WORLD WITHOUT END]. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21).
